2019 Rockport Jazz Festival – Cool Down With Some Hot Acts
Are you looking to get your live music fix this summer? Well, you should definitely check out the 2019 Rockport Jazz Festival, running Sunday, August 4th through Sunday, August 11th. Now in it’s 8th year, this festival is a Rockport Summer highlight that never misses a beat.
The Rockport Jazz Festival takes place in the intimate Shalin Liu Performance Center which features Front Beach and Rockport harbor as a stunning backdrop. Trust us, it’s worth the drive just to experience this venue. The acoustics are incredible and there is not a bad seat in the house.
One of the best parts of these concerts is that they actually include an informal discussion with the musicians one hour before the show. Dubbed “JazzChats,” attendees can enjoy a glass of wine and discussion with their favorite musicians prior to the show. JazzChats actually started in the 2nd year of the festival, and have become a popular staple.
Featuring acts such as Trinidadian trumpeter Etienne Charles, vintage pop singer Kat Edmonson, and jazz guitar legend, John Scofield, the Rockport Jazz Festival is sure to hit a high note in your Summer musical journey.
