Rockport Inn Virtual Tour – Addison Choate
Each May we look forward to Massachusetts Art Week in Rockport. The annual event features hundreds of unique, interactive exhibits and experiences across the state that showcase the vast artistic talent in the Commonwealth.
This year, the Inns of Rockport planned a special open house tour and celebration of their historic properties. But, due to unforeseen circumstances, we were unable to host the open house in person.
But, rather than completely bow out of Artweek, we decided to get creative. We created the Rockport Inn Virtual Open House to celebrate Artweek and the many talented inns and innkeepers in town.
Plus, who couldn’t use some entertainment and connection during this challenging time!
The tours were an absolute hit! They included the Seafarer Inn, Sally Webster Inn, Pleasant Street Inn and many others. You can view all of the tours on the Inns of Rockport Instagram Page.
Courtney and I were excited to be asked to join in the Art Week Virtual Open House and we put together a video overview of the property that you can watch below.
We are excited to be the new stewards of this historic 1851 home and we love sharing our journey with people.
We absolutely love the history of the property that dates back to Addison Choate himself, a local merchant and member of the esteemed Choate family that emigrated to the US in 1643.
We enjoyed the renovation process and combining the historic charm of the property with modern amenities and whimsical design to provide a unique, enjoyable and relaxing respite that doesn’t take itself too seriously.
