Rockport New Year’s Eve – Venues & Full Event Details

Rockport New Year's Eve

Auld Lang Syne, Veuve Clicquot, and New Resolutions

New Year’s Eve is just around the corner and if you’re looking for something different this year you should consider celebrating in the coastal village of Rockport, Massachusetts. The Rockport New Year’s Eve celebration is a town-wide extravaganza that features entertainment at 18 different venues.

The festivities kick off at 6pm and run until the ball drops at midnight. You can watch the ball drop and count down the last few seconds of the year in historic Dock Square, singing Auld Lang Syne with hundreds of your new closest friends. It’s the perfect excuse to get out of town for a couple of nights and enjoy a romantic night or two away at our Rockport MA Hotel.

Here at the Addison Choate, we are centrally located so you can leave your car in our parking lot and walk on into town. All of our guests will receive a tasty complimentary breakfast, buttons to the event, as well as some New Year’s Eve swag so that they can hit the town in style.

Rockport New Year’s Eve Entertainment Runs Gambit

Rockport New Year’s Eve (RYNE) is the perfect embodiment of what is so special about this coastal enclave. The mission of RYNE is “to broaden and deepen the public’s appreciation for the performing, literary and visual arts through innovative, diverse and high-quality programs.” And, they certainly deliver on that mission every December 31st.

All forms of art are on display and the event is a treasured tradition enjoyed by Cape Ann residents for years. The event is extremely well organized and each venue has entertainment scheduled every hour on the hour with 15-minute breaks in between the 45 minute sets. This allows patrons to walk between the venues and see as many acts as possible.
