The great thing about Rockport, MA, like many coastal New England towns is that there are a number of independently owned motels, inns, and hotels to choose from. They all have different benefits and things that they do well. They’re kind of like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re gonna get. Which is exciting, but also mildly terrifying.

In this article, we will give you an overview of some of our favorites and hopefully help you with your decision-making process.

The Best Rockport Motels

Many people wonder what the difference is between a hotel and motel. While they are similar, there are few key differences. First, motels were created as economy accommodations so they generally have a lower rate than other hotels or inn in the area. They are generally near a main road or highway, offer rooms on a single floor. And the rooms generally have an exterior entry. Let’s take a closer look at some of our favorite Rockport Motels.

Rockport Inn and Suites

One of the best motels in Rockport is Rockport Inn and Suites. If you are looking for a comfortable clean room at a great rate, that is right on the main road into town they have you covered. The rooms have exterior entrances to the parking lot, providing for privacy and ease of access.

The property underwent some renovations a few years ago bringing the property up to date, and the staff is courteous and helpful. They also have some dog friendly lodging options, if you can’t leave your little buddy behind. If you’re looking for a great value, and are comfortable with standard commercial hotel design, this is definitely the spot to stay.
